2025 Notice of Property Tax Increase
The Early County Board of Education has tentatively adopted a 2025 millage rate which will require an increase in
property tax by 8.48 percent.
All concerned citizens are invited to the public hearing on the tax increase to be held at the ECATS building on November
19th at 11:00 am.
Times and places of additional public hearings on this tax increase are at the ECATS building, 40 Harold Ragan Drive,
Blakely, GA, on November 19th at 6:00 pm and November 26th at 4:30 pm.
This tentative increase will result in a millage rate of 15.945 mills (same as the 2024 millage rate), an increase of 1.246
mills over the rollback rate. Without this tentative increase, the millage rate will be no more than 14.699 mills. The
proposed tax increase for a home with a fair market value of $150,000 is approximately $73.76 and the proposed tax
increase for non-homestead property with a fair market value of $150,000 is approximately $74.76.

July 1, 2024 - June 30, 2025
The Early County Board of Education has adopted a budget for all funds for the fiscal year 2025, which would begin July 1, 2024 and go through June 30, 2025. This was tentatively adopted at the called Board of Education meeting on May 30, 2024 at 5:30 PM at ECATS, 40 Harold Ragan Drive, Blakely, GA.
There were two public budget hearings held on May 30, 2024 and June 11, 2024 at the same location.
The Early County Board of Education officially adopted the formal fiscal year 2025 budget at a called meeting on Tuesday, June 18th, 2024 at 6:00 PM at ECATS, 40 Harold Ragan Drive, Blakely, GA.
An an amendment to the budget was approved by the Early County Board of Education on 9/10/24 .
